Happy New Year Everybody! I think it’s time for me to talk about 2025.
First off, like I have said, I want to wish everybody a happy new year and I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas break! God knows I definitely needed a good break. 2024 was a great year especially for personal progress, especially with my work redoing my room.
I have a lot of creative ideas for the next few months, both in terms of personal projects, the website, as well as MESAConnect, and I think it is time to ramble a little bit about where I am at and what the plan is.
MESAConnect & MESAMobile
MESA Connect is still in Beta. I keep going back in forth on what I want to add next and priorize, but I think the best thing I can do is blend the real world with the digital.
As weird of a source of inspiration as it sounds, i recently went to Las Vegas and tried Topgolf for the first time. Although it is very much a fun, leisure activity, the way they blend the real world golfing with digital games is so fascinating and turns it into something that it would not be otherwise. I think that blending things together between the real world and digital is something that is great, especially since my biggest worry making MESAConnect a social media platform is distancing everyone farther from the real world, when I want to do the opposite.
So, I have a few ideas of where I am at on the development of MESAConnect:
- Redid Class Schedule System for Future Use
- Community System Creation
- MESADocs for those who want basic information (Notion Integration Perhaps for Easy Editing?)
- Redid Admin Panel for Developers and Moderators

MESAEvents
One of the goals of MESAConnect was to make the MESA exprience easier for all. Thus, I have been developing a Kiosk Mode for Events, to integrate seemlessly for all.

Introducing a New Interface for Tutors and Event Holders, Allowing Easy Registration.
A lot of the improvements are on the back-end, however, with the idea of making consistent updates to the ecosystem to use this new Kiosk System to build something more interesting.
💡Maybe allowing students in a workshop to share problems to all perhaps?
On top of this, there is a new Event Dashboard and Preview Page for all to see events upcoming and active.

Above you can see the new interfaces.
Outside of these new features, I have a few new ideas for the future:
- Portfolio System
- Project Showcase for Students to share studies and projects they worked on, thus helping show colleges your work.
- Quiz System
- Kahoot-style Friendly Competition for Workshops
These are just some new ideas of what is to come, stay tuned for the new few months :)
MESAMobile
So far, MESA Mobile still aims to primarily be an accesory app to MESAConnect. One thing I need to work on is new features to make it match the Web Version. But, there is some progress.

Communities have also reached the Mobile Front as well, and we are aiming for a Spring 2025 release date. It will not be as feature packed as its web counterpart, however, so please be aware.
Blog Website
I still hate the CSS of the Blog on this website. It still feels very incomplete (as of January 6), and I am going to work on smoothing it out, especially on mobile where it looks so awkward.
Hopes In The New Year
My aim this year is to get some internships, maybe get back into Film and Video Creation, maybe documenting my personal journey, and get into one of the big schools I applied too. Oh, and finally finish MESA Connect. It is crazy the progress of the app just within the first year and interest created surrounding it. I am very excited and cannot wait to have it finished and deployed for all of MESA!
As of right now, I am going to get some schoolwork done, relax, maybe 3D Print some more items for my room setup, and sign off!
Happy New Year to all of you!
